Dr. Terry Wahls is truly remarkable. She managed to bring her secondary progressive MS into remission through diet, lifestyle changes, and electrical stimulation. This is her standing, walking, and delivering a TEDx talk — where she explains everything she did to recover and put her illness into lasting remission.
I find her achievements incredible, driven by sheer will and determination. Her story helped me understand just how powerful plant-based foods can be, especially the nutrients found in the three different fruits and vegetable groups she highlights ie. leafy green vegetables, sulphur-rich vegetables, and brightly coloured vegetables and fruits, eating 3 cups of each per day. After watching her talk and later reading her book The Wahls Protocol, everything fell into place for me — not only the value of being plant-based, but the importance of getting a wide variety of plants into my diet every day for brain health, repair, and recovery.
Much Love!
Simonne
